Solar Eclipse from Oman
Located just south of Dubai on the Arabian Peninsula, the Sultanate of Oman is a country filled with an abundance of natural beauty, from spectacular mountains, wind-blown deserts and a pristine coastline. It is home to the legendary Sinbad the Sailor and the Queen of Sheba, and it's a country that casts a spell on you from the moment you arrive.
The oldest independent state in the Arab world, it is one of the more traditional countries in the Gulf region and was, until the 1970s, one of the most isolated. Its low-rise towns retain their traditional charms and Bedouin values remain at the heart of an Omani welcome. Oman is the obvious choice for those seeking out the modern face of Arabia while still wanting to sense its ancient soul.
