Arrive in Reykjavik and spend an overnight in Iceland's capital city. On the coast of Iceland, Reykjavik is the country's capital and largest city. It is home to the National and Saga museums, tracing Iceland’s Viking history. The striking concrete Hallgrimskirkja church and rotating Perlan glass dome offer sweeping views of the sea and nearby hills.

Day 2 - Enjoy the scenery of the South Coast en route to Vik

Today travel along the South Coast past Selfoss town to Seljaladsfoss Waterfall. This waterfall drops 60m and is part of the Seljalands River that has its origin in the volcano glacier Eyjafjallajökull. Continue to Skogafoss Waterfall and onwards to the town of Vík for an overnight stay.

Day 3 - Continue via Skaftafell National Park to Höfn

From Vík head over the floodplains of Mýrdalssandur and proceed to Skaftafell National Park at the base of Vatnajökull Glacier, the largest glacier in Europe. Continue to Höfn town, which is famous for its lobster and seafood, for an overnight stay in the area.

Day 4 - Today travel via Egilstaðir to the stunning Lake Mývatn area

On your way to Egilstaðir, the largest town in East Iceland, you will enjoy the incredible scenery of the East Fjords. From Egilstaðir town, continue to the stunning Lake Mývatn area with its diverse geological formations. Stay overnight in the Húsavík area.

Day 5 - Travel via Akureyri and Goðafoss Waterfall to Skagafjörður

From Húsavík head for the second largest City in Iceland, Akureyri. En route stop by the gracious Goðafoss Waterfall. Next stop is the vibrant city of Akureyri, Iceland´s second largest city, before continuing on to Skagafjörður for an overnight stay.

Day 6 - Today visit Deildartunguhver Hot Springs and Þingvellir National Park

Visit Deildartunguhver Hot Springs, Europe’s highest flowing hot spring with 180 litres emerging to the surface each second. From Deildartunguhver head towards Langjökull Glacier to Hraunfossar and Barnafossar Waterfalls and to Þingvellir National Park for overnight in the area of Snæfells Glacier National Park.

Day 7 - Eclipse Day

Observation of the eclipse from Snæfells Glacier National Park. Eclipse observation from our chosen area gives a total phase duration of 2min 7sec and weather data projects 39% clear sky.

Day 8 (13 August 2026) - Return to Reykjavik to join your return flight or perhaps extend your stay

Today is the last day of the tour and we return to Reykjavik during the morning. Join your return flight unless you have chosen to extend your stay.
