Day 1 (7th August 2026) - Arrival in Valencia

Arrive into the port city of Valencia and spend the next four nights in this cosmopolitan chic city. Valencia is known for its City of Arts and Sciences, with futuristic structures including a planetarium, an oceanarium and an interactive museum. Valencia also has several beaches, including some within nearby Albufera Park, a wetlands reserve with a lake and walking trails.
 

Days 2 to 4 (8th, 9th and 10th August 2026) - Days at leisure in Valencia with optional excursions available

Valencia brings together historic and modern culture. In the old town (El Carmen) you will find a gothic cathedral, a modernist food market and a Rococo palace all in easy walking distance of each other. Valencia offers history, modernity, nature, epicurean delights and entertainment. There are also the beaches of the city of Valencia, just a stone's throw from the centre and its many attractions.
 

Day 5 (11th August 2026) - Travel by train to Spain's central capital city of Madrid for a two-night stay (*Or Siguenza Castle - on request)

Today take the train to Madrid, a city of elegant boulevards and expansive, manicured parks such as the Buen Retiro. Madrid is renowned for its rich repositories of European art, including the Prado Museum’s works by Goya, Velázquez and other Spanish masters. The heart of old Hapsburg Madrid is the portico-lined Plaza Mayor, and nearby is the baroque Royal Palace and Armory, displaying historic weaponry. *Upgrade to overnight in Siguenza Castle (BB) - please request in the comments section of the booking form if this is of interest. Prices willl be advised when available.
 

Day 6 (12th August 2026) - Eclipse Day - travel to Siguenza, our base for the eclipse

Today we travel to Sigüenza, a city in Guadalajara, central Spain known for its centuries-old architecture, including Sigüenza Castle. Sigüenza is our base for observing the eclipse. Later this evening travel back to Madrid for your last overnight in the city. *Upgrade to overnight in Siguenza Castle (BB) - please request in the comments section of the booking form if this is of interest. Prices willl be advised when available.
 

Day 7 (13th August 2026) - Join your return flight or perhaps extend your stay

Today is the last day of the tour. Join your return flight unless you have chosen to extend your stay.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN MY TOUR?

Tour Price GB£1,250 / US$1,675 / EU€1,495 per person*

*Please note that any costings are subject to review in August 2025.  After August 2025 prices are governed by the Price Guarantee in our Terms and Conditions. The Euro conversion Rate of Exchange used in this project is 1.2 for GBP prices and 0.9 for USD prices.

 

• The price is for the tour from hotel check-in on Day 1 to your hotel check-out on Day 7.

• Bed and breakfast accommodation is provided in hotels throughout the tour and all transfers, transportation, flights, trains, and local excursions as outlined in the itinerary (if applicable) are included. Other meals are not included, and some excursions are offered on an optional basis closer to the tour departure date (the word 'optional' is used to describe these).

• Accommodation is provided in twin or double bed hotel rooms with a private bathroom. We are usually able to arrange shared accommodation with a person of the same gender - this is known as 'twin share' accommodation.

• *Upgrade to overnight in Siguenza Castle (BB) - please request in the comments section of the booking form if this is of interest.  Prices willl be advised when available.

• A limited number of rooms for sole occupancy are available at a single room supplement of GB£795 / US$1,050 / EU€950.

• International Flights will be offered by our flight partner approximately 11 months in advance of the tour departure (when all fares and schedules are available) or you can arrange your own International Flights if you prefer.

• The meet point for this tour is the hotel on Day 1 and the tour ends at the hotel on the final day.  Airport transfers and assistance and extra nights at the group hotel can be arranged closer to departure at additional cost.
