Day 6 - Eclipse Day - travel to Siguenza, our base for the eclipse


Sigüenza Castle and Town, Spain Today we travel to Sigüenza, a city in Guadalajara, central Spain known for its centuries-old architecture, including Sigüenza Castle. Sigüenza is our base for observing the eclipse. Later this evening travel back to Madrid for your last overnight in the city.




Days 2 to 4 - Days at leisure in Valencia with optional excursions available


Valencia brings together historic and modern culture. In the old town (El Carmen) you will find a gothic cathedral, a modernist food market and a Rococo palace all in easy walking distance of each other. Valencia offers history, modernity, nature, epicurean delights and entertainment. There are also the beaches of the city of Valencia, just a stone's throw from the centre and its many attractions.




Day 1 (7th August 2026) - Arrival in Valencia


Arrive into the port city of Valencia and spend the next four nights in this cosmopolitan chic city. Valencia is known for its City of Arts and Sciences, with futuristic structures including a planetarium, an oceanarium and an interactive museum. Valencia also has several beaches, including some within nearby Albufera Park, a wetlands reserve with a lake and walking trails.

  • The price is for the tour from hotel check-in on Day 1 to your hotel check-out on Day 7.
  • Bed and breakfast accommodation is provided in hotels throughout the tour and all transfers, transportation, flights, trains and local excursions as outlined in the itinerary (if applicable) are included. Other meals are not included and some excursions are offered on an optional basis closer to the tour departure date (the word 'optional' is used to describe these).
  • Accommodation is provided in twin or double bed hotel rooms with a private bathroom. We are usually able to arrange shared accommodation with a person of the same gender - this is known as 'twin share' accommodation.
  • A limited number of rooms for sole occupancy are available at a single room supplement of £TBA / $TBA.
  • Flight packages from London and the US will be offered by our flight partner approximately 11 months in advance of the tour departure (when all fares and schedules are available) or you can arrange your own International flights if you prefer.
  • Airport transfers and assistance are included on arrival and departure days if you take advantage of the International flight package offered by our flight partner. If you choose to arrange your own International flights then the meet point is the hotel on Day 1 and the tour ends at the hotel on the final day.

Day 7 (13th August 2026) - Join your return flight or perhaps extend your stay

Day 5 - Travel by train to Spain's central capital city of Madrid


Plaza de Cibeles, Madrid, Spain Today take the train to Madrid, a city of elegant boulevards and expansive, manicured parks such as the Buen Retiro. Madrid is renowned for its rich repositories of European art, including the Prado Museum’s works by Goya, Velázquez and other Spanish masters. The heart of old Hapsburg Madrid is the portico-lined Plaza Mayor, and nearby is the baroque Royal Palace and Armory, displaying historic weaponry.
