Day 1 (17 April 2023) - Arrival in Perth
Arrive in Perth, your base for the next two nights. Perth sits where the Swan River meets the southwest coast. Sandy beaches line its suburbs, and the huge, riverside Kings Park and Botanic Garden on Mount Eliza offer sweeping views of the city. It is a cool, thriving hub of arts and culture.
Day 2 - Enjoy Perth and surroundings with optional excursions available
Perth's superb position on the banks of the Swan River and nearby hectares of natural bushland make for a city centred on the great outdoors which is perfect for sightseeing and people watching. Optional excursions today will include a half day city tour of Perth and historic Fremantle and a trip out to the Gravity Discovery Centre for an evening of stargazing.
Day 3 - Transfer to Fremantle today with optional Swan Valley excursion available
Today there will be the chance to join an optional excursion out to a local winery and enjoy local artisan cheeses, a gourmet lunch and premium boutique wine tasting. The beautiful Swan Valley, surrounds the upper reaches of the Swan River. Some of the regions finest wines and local produce can be found here, home to over 100 wineries and numerous gourmet food producers. Afternoon transfer to Fremantle for an overnight stay in this historic port with its Victorian architecture. An optional pre-eclipse briefing will be held at the hotel this evening.
Day 4 - Eclipse Day (20 April) - Charter flight to Exmouth, our base for the eclipse
Today we fly up to Exmouth which is our base to view the eclipse. Exmouth is a small remote resort town on the North West Cape, halfway between Perth and Broome. We will have a central base for the group to view the eclipse from which will include toilet facilities and a basic lunch and refreshments. Return after the eclipse to Fremantle.
Day 5 - Last day in Fremantle with Pinnacles optional excursion available
Enjoy your last day at leisure in historic Fremantle, or perhaps join a full day optional excursion to the Nambung National Park, near the town of Cervantes where you can visit the lunar-like Pinnacles, one of Australia's most unique and fascinating natural landscapes
Day 6 (22 April 2023) - Join your return flight or perhaps extend your stay
Today is the last day of the tour. Join your return flight from Perth unless you have chosen to extend your stay.
