British Adventurer
Antony Jinman
Renowned British polar explorer Antony Jinman is most widely recognised for being the twelfth Britain to have skied to the Geographic North Pole and ski solo to the Geographic South Pole. He also lays personal claim to being recognised by the Queen and gaining Royal Patronage from HRH The Prince of Wales after an expedition to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. His hunger for exploration began as a boy dreaming of the day he could follow in the footsteps of fellow Plymothian and Antarctic explorer Captain Robert Falcon Scott coming one step closer when he served as a surveyor in the Royal Navy on board the Captain’s namesake ship HMS Scott.

Director of the BAA Historical Section
Mike Frost
Mike Frost has a Master’s Degree in Astronomy and is a Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society. He is the Director of the British Astronomical Association’s Historical Section, and a founder member of the Society for the History of Astronomy. He lectures to astronomy societies, schools and anyone else who will book him! He discovered astronomical holidays thirty years ago, and was delighted to find that this let him observe wonderful things in the skies above obscure and beautiful places. He has travelled a long way to observe meteor storms and aurorae, but his absolute favourite remains total eclipses of the Sun.

Astrophotographer
Aditya Madhavan
Aditya (affectionately known as 'Deech') doesn’t remember a time in his life where he hasn’t been fascinated with the universe beyond our planet. Shortly after his first peek through a telescope at Saturn (everyone’s first - right?), our solar system was visited by two great comets, Hale-Bopp and Hyakutake which he greatly enjoyed imaging. At a high school astronomy club meeting, he got wind of the 2017 US eclipse , and after waiting 14 years for his first solar eclipse, he was instantly hooked. Eclipse chasing and astrophotography are his great passion and with 6 totalities now under his belt, he can't wait to share his passion with you for imaging these amazing phenomena.
