PRE Tour Extension: Iceland Geological Wonders

Day 1 (7th August 2026) - Arrival in Reykjavik Iceland

Arrive in Reykjavik and transfer to your hotel for an overnight stay. Reykjavik is the world’s most northerly capital city, and seamlessly blends a traditional Nordic atmosphere with a modern, forward-thinking attitude. Unassuming congregated iron houses sit just metres from a multi-million-pound concert hall and space age church, and busy streets play host to both laidback cafes and cool cocktail lounges.

Day 2 (8th August 2026) - Reykjanes Peninsula (B, L)

The Reykjanes peninsula lies where the North-Atlantic Ocean ridge comes ashore, and the manifestations of the continental rift zone between North America and Eurasia are prominent. Reykjanes means the steam peninsula and the area features a unique volcanic landscape, recognized by UNESCO as the Reykjanes Geopark, with 55 defined geosites. Enjoy a full day exploring this exciting area (with a light lunch included).  Overnight Reykjavik.

Day 3 (9th August 2026) - Golden Circle Express tour and set sail (B, D)

Join Day 2 of the Main Greenland tour.  Before embarking on your cruise, enjoy a Golden Circle Express tour through the Icelandic countryside to beautiful Thingvellir National Park, the primary site of Iceland's geological and historical heritage. Also visit the countries most iconic waterfall - Gullfoss, before winding our way back through various geothermal areas to board the ship.  Overnight onboard.

Twin / Double room – GB£495 / US$595 per person

Single Room Supplement – GB£270 / US$325

 

For single travellers, we are usually able to arrange shared accommodation with a person of the same gender – this is known as ’twin share’ accommodation. Please choose the ‘share twin room (male or female) option on the booking form.

 

*The per person cost is based on twin or double bed hotel rooms with a private bathroom

 

*Please note that these costings have been reviewed in October 2025. Prices are now governed by the price guarantee in our Terms and Conditions. The Euro conversion Rate of Exchange is this project is 1.2 for GBP prices and 0.8 for USD prices.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN MY TOUR?

• Accommodation on the tour from check-in on Day 1 (usually around 3pm) to check-out (usually around 10am) on the final day of the tour. 

• Daily meal plan as outlined in the above tour summary. B = Breakfast, L = Lunch, D = Dinner

• All transfers, transportation, flights, trains, and local excursions as outlined in the itinerary (if applicable).

 

WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED IN MY TOUR?

• Optional excursions mentioned in the tour are offered closer to the tour departure date (approximately 6 months prior to the tour departure).

• Arrival airport transfers and assistance offered closer to the tour departure date (approximately 6 months prior to the tour departure).

• International flights. Our flight partner, Star Travel UK, can assist with an international flight quote approximately 11 months in advance of the tour departure.

• Additional nights outside the tour dates.  If required these can be requested at the booking stage, with costs being advised approximately 6 months prior to the tour departure.

• Porterage, gratuities and tips.
