POST TOUR Paracas & Nazca Lines Extension

Day 1 (04 October 2024) - End of main tour and fly to Lima (B)

At the end of the Easter Island tour, join a flight to Lima for an overnight stay.  Though its colonial center is preserved, Lima is a bustling metropolis and one of South America’s largest cities.  Lima is a place of converging trends, created by its people and their living culture, where you will find every corner of Peru represented!

Day 2 (05 October 2024) - Bus to Paracas and overflight of the Nazca Lines (B)

Transfer by regular bus to Paracas. Check into your hotel and then transfer to Pisco Airport to join your overflight of the spectacular Nazca Lines.  The Nazca Lines in southern Peru are a group of pre-Columbian geoglyphs etched into the desert sands. Covering an area of nearly 1,000 sq.kms, there are about 300 different figures, including animals and plants.  Return to Paracas for overnight.
 

Day 3 (06 October 2024) - Visit Ballestas Islands (B)

Today we visit Ballestas Islands and experience the marine life of the Peruvian Coast.  Departing from El Chaco dock, we get our first glimpse of El Candelabro, an enigmatic silhouette that rises in the sandy hills.  Balestas islands are an impressive convergence between the desert and the sea. The 3 islands are a display of extraordinary monuments carved into rocks by the sea and are home to a diverse array of wildlife, including endemic and migratory species.  The islands are home to sea lions and 18 species of birds, including the Humboldt penguin, the red-footed cormorant and the guanay. After the tour, return to the bus station for the journey back to Lima and the last night of the tour.

Day 4 (07 October 2024) - Join your return flight or perhaps extend your stay (B)

Today is the last day of the tour. Join your return flight unless you have chosen to extend your stay.

*Please note these costings are based on costings from November 2023 and are subject to change. Tours are costed on a USD rate of 1.25.

 

• The price is for the tour from hotel check-in on Day 1 to your hotel check-out on Day 4.

• Bed and breakfast accommodation is provided in hotels throughout the tour and all transfers, transportation, flights, and local excursions as outlined in the itinerary (if applicable) are included. Other meals are not included unless stated.

• Accommodation is provided in twin or double bed hotel rooms with a private bathroom. We are usually able to arrange shared accommodation with a person of the same gender - this is known as 'twin share' accommodation.

• A limited number of rooms for sole occupancy are available at a single room supplement of GB£170 / US$210.

• Flight packages from London and the US are available via our flight partner Star Travel, or you can arrange your own International flights if you prefer.  Please ask us for a quote.

• The tour ends at the hotel after check out (from 10am) on the final day of your tour.  Astro Trails can assist with departure transfers or the hotel reception desk can arrange this for you.
