Day 1 (24th July 2028) - Fly to Brisbane from Sydney

Fly to Brisbane and spend one night in Queensland’s capital city. Brisbane is a riverside city known for its subtropical climate, outdoor lifestyle, and growing cultural scene. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 2 (25th July 2028) - Fly to Lady Elliot Island via Hervey Bay (B, L, D)

Today fly to Lady Elliot Island via Hervey Bay. Enjoy a 2 night stay on the island.  On arrival, join an island orientation tour. Collect your snorkel, mask, and flippers from the dive shop before enjoying a relaxed afternoon at leisure. Choose to snorkel in the lagoon or the surrounding coral gardens. This evening enjoy a buffet dinner followed by optional activities (education centre presentations and informal games).

 

Day 3 (26th July 2028) - Lady Elliot Island (B, L, D)

Begin the day with an early morning snorkel or a walk around the island before a full buffet breakfast on the deck overlooking the coral lagoon. A range of complimentary activities are available throughout the day, including a reef walking tour (tide dependent), Island Discovery and History Walks, and a combined glass‑bottom boat and snorkelling experience. Optional scuba diving is also available, with equipment and instruction provided by the on‑site PADI Dive Shop (additional cost and medical clearance required).

 

Day 4 (27th July 2028) - Travel to Fraser (K'gari) Island (B)

Today return by flight to Hervey Bay. On arrival, transfer to River Heads to join a marine transfer to Fraser (K’gari) Island where you will spend the next two-nights. Afternoon at leisure to explore the resort or perhaps join a ranger‑guided walk. This evening enjoy the Illumina Light Show.  Other evening activities include ranger‑guided spotlighting tours, stargazing, or interpretive presentations about the region (some activities are at additional cost).

 

​​Day 5 (28th July 2028) - Fraser (K'gari) Island (B, L)

Today enjoy a full day guided 4WD tour exploring Fraser (K’gari) Island renowned natural attractions. Highlights include swimming in the clear waters of Lake McKenzie with its pure white sandy shores, visiting the rainforest at Central Station, and Wanggoolba Creek with its rare king ferns. Continue to Pile Valley to view towering satinay trees and stop at Eli Creek, where freshwater flows across the beach. Your guide will provide commentary on the island’s flora and fauna, the shipwreck of the SS Maheno, the coloured sands of 75‑Mile Beach, and the Aboriginal and European history of the island.  Evening activities include ranger‑guided spotlighting tours, stargazing, or interpretive presentations about the region (some activities are at additional cost).

 

Day 6 (29th July 2028) - Return flight to Brisbane where the tour ends (B)

Today is the last day of the tour. Join your return flight to Brisbane where the tour ends, unless you have chosen to extend your stay in Brisbane. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

For single travellers, we are usually able to arrange shared accommodation with a person of the same gender – this is known as ’twin share’ accommodation. Choose the share twin room option (male or female) on the booking form.

*Costings are based on prices from January 2026. All bookings on our projects are governed by our Terms and Conditions.​ The AUD conversion Rate of Exchange used in this project is 2.00 for GBP prices and 1.5 for USD prices. â€‹â€‹

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN MY TOUR?

  • Accommodation on the tour from check-in on Day 1 (usually around 3pm) to check-out (usually around 10am) on the final day of the tour. 

  • Daily meal plan as outlined in the above tour summary. B = Breakfast, L = Lunch, D = Dinner

  • All transfers, transportation, flights, trains, and local excursions as outlined in the itinerary (if applicable).

  • All local excursions outlined in the tour summary (if applicable) unless it is specified as an ‘Optional Excursion’ which is offered at extra cost.​​​

WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED IN MY TOUR?

  • Optional Excursions mentioned in the tour are offered closer to the tour departure date (approximately 9 months prior to the tour departure).

  • International flights to/from Australia. Our flight partner, Star Travel UK, can assist with an international flight quote approximately 11 months in advance of the tour departure.

  • Additional pre or post hotel nights outside the tour dates.  If required these can be requested at booking stage, with costs being advised approximately 9 months prior to the tour departure.
