Day 1 (4th August 2027) - El Bahariya and Western Desert sightseeing

Today, leave the main eclipse group tour in Cairo and travel west to El Bahariya.  Visit some of the fantastic 'off the beaten track' Western Desert sights including Ein Mady (Bahariya Oasis), Bawiti Salt Lake, the Valley of the Golden Mummies Museum, and Benuti tombs. Enjoy the sunset at Gebel Ingliz (English Mountain) in the Black Desert named after the British Captain who was stationed here in WWI. The British monitored the movements of the Libyan Sanusi tribes from here and the ruins of their outpost are on top of the hill.  Overnight in El Bahariya Oasis.

Day 2 (5th August 2027) - Jeep Safari and Desert glamping

Spend an amazing day exploring the fascinating 'other earthly' areas deep in the Western Desert using 4x4 vehicles. Explore El Marsos Mountain, the Black Desert, Crystal Mountain, Agabat in the White Desert with its amazing limestone outcrops and see amazing Sand Dunes. Overnight glamping under the stars at a luxury desert camp with dinner included.

Day 3 (6th August 2027) - Short visit of Farafra before returning to Cairo

Begin today with a short orientation of Farafra. The town once had a Roman fortress to protect the caravan route, which is now in ruins. The adobe structures in the centre are quite deteriorated, with some revealing medieval elements such as doors or locks. The palm grove next to the centre is more evocative, which gives the town a touch of greenery. Return overland to Cairo for your last night of the tour.

Day 4 (7th August 2027) - Last day of the tour or perhaps extend your stay

Today is the last day of the tour. Join your return flight home unless you have chosen to extend your stay in Cairo.
